Golf, nothing more
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. In plain language, because there is not much to it.
This site and the Member Deals email are run by Thomas Branderhorst, registered in the Netherlands with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 88372952.
We are the controller for the personal data described here. For anything on this page, write to hello@golfnothingmore.com.
If you sign up for Member Deals, we collect your email address, the date you signed up, and a record of your confirmation. That is the whole list.
You can also sign up when you join our Facebook group, by leaving your email address in answer to the question about Member Deals. That answer is your sign-up. We copy the address to our email software and nothing else from your answers. If you leave the field empty, you still get into the group and we never email you.
Our email software also records whether an email was delivered, whether it was opened, and which links were clicked. We use that to see which offers are worth sending and which are not.
We measure visits to this website with Plausible Analytics. It uses no cookies, sets nothing on your device, stores no personal data and does not build a profile of you. We see page views, rough traffic sources, and whether a discount code was copied or a partner link was followed. All of it is counted, none of it is tied to you.
We send you email because you asked us to. That is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time — every email has an unsubscribe link, and using it takes effect immediately.
How we confirm that depends on where you signed up. If you left your address on this website, you get one email asking you to confirm it, and if you do not confirm we delete the address. If you gave it when you joined our Facebook group, we skip that step: your answer is the confirmation. You typed the address yourself, in answer to a question that said what you would get and how often, and that answer stays on record. Either way, one click on unsubscribe ends it.
That is it. We do not sell, rent or share your email address with the partners whose offers we feature. When you click an offer you go to that company's own website, and from that point their privacy policy applies, not ours.
We earn a commission on some of the offers we send. That does not change what happens to your data — the partner only learns about you if you choose to buy something from them.
The Golf, nothing more group on Facebook is a separate thing, run on Facebook's platform under Facebook's own terms and privacy policy. We do not collect email addresses or other personal data through the group, and nothing you post there ends up on our list.
We keep your address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove you from the list and keep only the minimum needed to make sure you do not get added again by mistake.
Our email provider stores the list within the European Union. Cloudflare and GitHub are established outside the EU; where they process any data on our behalf, that transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can object to what we do with it, ask for it in a portable form, and withdraw your consent whenever you like.
Write to hello@golfnothingmore.com and we will sort it out. We are not going to make you jump through hoops — it is one email address in a list, and if you want it gone it is gone.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
If we change how any of this works — a different email provider, a new part of the site — we will update this page and note the date below.
